Stephen A. Leek, CPA, CVA, CFFA
Steve is the owner, founder and managing principal of the firm. He represents a wide range of business clients, including those in the healthcare, technology, real estate, construction, professional services, insurance, wholesale/retail, manufacturing, agricultural, franchising and publishing industries. Steve also represents individuals and non-profits to help them achieve their financial goals.
Experienced in the traditional service areas most people associate with accounting firms, such as tax, audit, and general accounting services, Steve is also highly experienced in several specialty areas, including: business valuation, forensic & litigation support, debt & equity restructuring, and acquisition consulting.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He later earned his MBA from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. His professional credentials include:
- CPA – Certified Public Accountant
- CVA – Certified Valuation Analyst
- MAFF – Master Analyst in Financial Forensics
Before starting Leek & Associates, Steve was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Systematics, Inc. (later known as ALLTEL Information Services, and, finally, known today as Fidelity Information Services).
Prior to serving in his role at Systematics, Steve was a Principal with Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young) where he provided audit, tax and consulting services as well as computer audits and served on peer review teams for reviews of other national accounting firms.
Steve also proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Missile Unit Officer.
Steve plays an active role in his community and has served on several boards, including the Pulaski Technical College Foundation Board, the Arkansas Community Health & Education Foundation, the Downtown LR Rotary Club 99, and the Central Arkansas Chapter of the American Heart Association.
